About my cakes

I bake all my cakes in my council approved kitchen

which has been awarded a 5 star rating every year since I opened.

My Ingredients are always fresh, free range or organic where appropriate,

locally sourced where possible, and the finest quality of produce is standard.

I do not use pre-prepared mixes and every cake is made from scratch to order,

ensuring my cakes taste as fantastic as they look.

Gluten and wheat free cakes, diabetic and nut free cakes available on request.

Although all products are baked in a kitchen which uses these products.

 

Consultations

Wedding cake consultations, including taster sessions, take place at my home in Ryhall.

There is a charge of £15 for consultations which is deducted from the cost of your wedding cake, upon booking.

Consultations usually take an hour

All other cake consultations take place either by phone, email, Facebook message, or in person if you prefer.

When thinking about ordering a bespoke cake you should be considering the following:

Cake size- do you know the number of guests and the portion size you require

Cake type / Flavour- if having more than one tier you could have more than one flavour

Hobbies and interests of the person for whom the cake is being made

Party themes, wedding colours do you want it all to complement each other

Do you want a modern, contemporary or classic style of cake

Celebration cakes start at £65 Wedding cakes start at £185 (one tier)

Prices, like my cakes, are tailor made.

It is hard to give a ‘price list’ as such, as there are so many factors that can affect the final cost of your cake.

Once I have established your exact requirements, a price will be given.

But please be aware of the following:

I offer high quality cakes, all baked from scratch, and create unique designs. 

Some complex designs can be thirty plus hours in the making.

It is important to remember the cost of a cake reflects also the time it takes to design and produce and not just portion size.

A really complex and time consuming cake could also be a small cake.


 

Paying for your cake

Once you have decided you would like to book, and you are sure of the date you need the cake for, I ask for a booking fee.

Booking fees are non-refundable.

This booking fee confirms your booking, and no booking is confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

The cost of your booking fee would depend on what kind of cake you are requesting, and reflects the overall cost of the cake.

The balance for Wedding cakes is due 2 weeks before the event.

The balance for all other cakes is payable on collection or delivery, though if you wish to pay more before then this is acceptable also.
